Community Work – Strengthening Social Structures in Klarenthal
Community work is a central instrument for improving the quality of life in urban districts facing particular social challenges. In Klarenthal, we are committed to empowering disadvantaged groups, promoting integration, and building social networks. Our goal is for all people in the district to feel part of the community and to be able to actively participate in their environment.
GWA – KlAAr Contact Person for Poverty in Klarenthal
Our project ‚KlAAr – Contact for Poverty in Klarenthal‘ – for a contented life with little, will continue in 2025 and is no longer directed only at seniors from Klarenthal, but also at families and children. We know that poverty is an issue for many, that many have to manage with a small budget. But we understand poverty not only as a material deficit, but also beyond that: loneliness, lack of opportunity to participate in cultural and social life, lack of motivation. This is where we want to start and help the residents of our district in various ways. Our meeting opportunities in the district café with the information afternoons and our family offerings in the KiEZ with counseling options are intended to provide variety and contact. Made possible by the social budget, etc.
The community work in Klarenthal is supported by the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration and complies with the strict quality standards of the state program. Public relations work is carried out in close coordination with the Ministry to ensure that projects are communicated transparently and effectively. Together with our partners and residents, we are creating a more livable Klarenthal – step by step.
